Nigerian media personality, Nancy Isime has entreated her fellow ladies not to be angry and take offence when they are being referred to as ‘prostitutes’ or ‘ashawo’.
Speaking in an interview on ‘Clout Talk Concert’, Nancy Isime pointed out that as long as a woman is not a doctor, lawyer or engineer, society will perceive her as prostitute.
Monitored by Kemi Filani news, the television presenter said: “It’s sad we live in a society where any woman who is not a lawyer or an engineer or a doctor, really honestly is seen as a prostitute an ‘Ashawo’. I feel like that word ‘Ashawo’ has been so circulated to the point that as a woman you shouldn’t allow the word ‘Ashawo get to you. Because you don’t really have to do anything before you would be called an Ashawo. You just need to walk on the streets of Lagos and you will be called a prostitute”.
In other news, Ghanaian television presenter, Berla Mundi, has stunned fans after sharing no-makeup photos of herself on social media.
Berla Mundi is chilling large with her lover whose identity we are yet to uncover as she has kept her romantic and love life private and off social media.
